When writing an essay or lengthy post, I often find that the message I want to convey is transformed in the writing. This happens with books, too. Because long-form writing takes significant time (as it should!), I’ve begun many a project with a particular point in mind that, upon completion, becomes something different than originally intended.
That’s what happened this week.
For days, I drafted a different “going gently” post, only to get to the end and find that it had been a message I needed to work through personally rather than share publicly. I cannot get those hours of work back, but that’s okay. I needed the lesson.
Instead, today I want to share a gentle reminder that continues to pop up for me lately in both my work and walk with God.
